There was another quake off the coast of eastern Japan about 35 minutes ago. We've been monitoring the situation and had decided not to report...

However, although Fukushima Daiichi was originally reported as not being in a LOOP there is now information that it may be, and cooling power for Units 1 through 3 has been lost. There is presently no cooling water flow. The site has been evacuated to a central safe building. Remote cameras for No. 1 through No. 3 are out of action. TEPCO may have to resort to fire trucks for core cooling.

TEPCO is saying that the temporary interruption of core cooling should not be a problem.

UPDATE: The quake was about 6- in intensity. No problems are reported at any other nuclear plants in the affected zone. Although not directly affected, Kashiwazaki Kariwa reports no problems.
