TEPCO saying water cannons semi-effective....

I'd just like to point out that at 7:45 AM Wednesday, upon hearing of the plan to use water trucks this writer suggested the use of airport water cannon vehicles... which is exactly what ran the second set of five missions that DID get water on the target at No. 3 reactor.

TEPCO says that the plan with the second, large style of truck (with internally operated water cannons, just like indicated should be used here) was partially successful even though the readings at about 300 ft from the plant dropped from roughly 3700 ms to 3500 ms. There will in all likelihood be more use of these vehicles today (which will be tonight here in the USA.)
