TEPCO already saying "no" to Fukushima use

An expert on NHK TV has just explained that TEPCO will be expecting major blackouts in the summer because it will not have any power generation from probably either Fukushima Daiichi or Fukushima Daini.

Apparently power sharing is difficult - Tohoku cannot share any more than 600 MW with TEPCO due to the length of transmission line.

Further, Eastern Japan uses 50 Hz electricity while Western uses 60 Hz and there are only three locations where frequency conversion is possible for load sharing, and this cumulative capacity West-East is not more than one million kilowatts. This was set up by the post-War recovery since the Eastern areas used German equipment, and the Western used American.
