A hydrogen burn did occur at TMI-2 (Three Mile Island) several hours into the accident, but the plant design, very different and not earthquake damaged, was not overstressed. Hydrogen results from radiolytic dissociaton of water (water breaking down into hydrogen and oxygen in a radiation field.)

The situation may now be grave.
